Nuno Reis is set to return to Cercle Brugge on loan when the transfer window reopens in January.
The 22-year old centre back has spent 2 years at the Belgian club previously from 2010-2012 and is set to return to get some much needed competitive football outside of the Segunda Liga.
Cercle Brugge, who of course have partnership with Sporting, were keen to emphasise that this move was in their best interests and not just Sporting forcing players onto them.
Nuno Reis will join fellow B-team player Gaël Etock, who has been at the club since the start of the season having played 11 games and scored twice.
The club currently sits in 8th in the league and Nuno Reis may get a chance to face another Sporting player in Renato Neto, who is currently on loan at 9th place Gent.
The partnership with Cercle Brugge has been a largely successful one with William Carvalho, Renato Neto, Amido Baldé, and William Owusu all having spent spells at the club. William Carvalho’s improvement since he joined the club has certainly been remarkable.
