Result: Sporting B 1-2 Desportivo das Aves

Abel Ferreira’s Sporting B side sank to their second straight defeat at home to Aves on Friday night.

Sporting B were perhaps most importantly without the suspended Ricardo Esgaio.

The visiting side took the lead after Welder gave a penalty just before half-time. Pedro Pereira stepped up to put Aves in the lead. Abel Ferreira will be concerned of his side now conceding two penalties in two consecutive games.

As Sporting B chased the game in the second half Abel brought on Luka Stojanović for his first B team game of the side to replace Seejou King.

In the 73rd minute Sporting B equalised through Salim Cissé as he scored close-range past veteran goalkeeper Quim. The level scores seemed to more fair in relation to how the match had gone thus far.
