After a lengthy wait Atila Turan has finally officially become a Sporting Clube de Portugal player. Sporting had agreed terms with the player back in June but with Grenoble Foot’s financial difficulties there were complications before the player could move.
As agreed to previously, the highly rated youngster Turan will sign a 5 year deal with the club after being formally announced at the Estádio José Alvalade earlier today. The French U19 international will play in the #89 next season.
Turan most frequently plays as a left-back but can also play further up the pitch on the left hand side and will put pressure on Evaldo for the left-back position.
It could be that Atila Turan is Sporting’s last signing of this busy summer with the alleged move for the Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner being ruled out by director Carlos Freitas.
