Sporting Sign Bojinov, Valdés Goes to Parma, Maniche and Pedro Mendes Leave

Sporting Clube de Portugal have completed the signing of yet another player, Valeri Bojinov has signed a 5 year contract from Parma for a fee of €2,6000,000. The figure could increase up to €3,500,000 depending on how he performs as a Sporting player.

Bojinov has in the past played for both Manchester City and Juventus, and although he does not have a great goal ratio it is his all round play that will have attracted Sporting.

In return Jamie Valdés will spend next season on loan at Parma, and the Gialloblù will have an option to sign Valdés permanently for €1,800,000 in the future.

Maniche is now a free agent after he and the club reached a mutual agreement. Maniche joined the club last season but failed to rekindle his earlier form as a younger player. This on top of Pedro Mendes, who also left on a free yesterday under similar circumstances.
