After a few days without posting, typically quite a lot happens, so here’s a catch up of what didn’t get posted in the last few days:
Fabián Rinaudo (pictured in training) is officially a Sporting player after signing from Gimnasia La Plata. La Plata were relegated this season, but Rinaudo was one of the few players who still looked good.
Rinaudo signed a 4 your contract:
“I could never miss this opportunity to come to Europe and to a big club like Sporting.”
Sporting has signed both Diego Rubio and Luis Aguiar, and they are expected to be presented officially in a few hours.
Diego Rubio, 18, signs from Colo-Colo of Chile and has a 5 year contract with Sporting. Rubio said in a club interview:
“I’m living a dream. I am willing to give everything to get my opportunity and then seize it with goals for the team.”
Luis Aguiar was signed from Dynamo Moscow, where he spent time on loan at Peñarol and playing under Domingos Paciência. Aguiar will be given the no. 22 jersey for next season, and he also had a few things to say after his transfer:
“I am very excited with this new challenge. I feel I have deserved to get to a big club where I want to be to help improve the results of last year and get the titles.”
