These are rumours that have been circling around for some time and have started to gather momentum. The possible signings of Beşiktaş’s Bobô (left) and Hamburger SV’s Alex Silva (who is currently on loan at São Paulo) seem to be coming along into advanced negotiations. According to A Bola the representatives of the players will be in Lisbon for advanced talks sometime this week.
Both players are 26 years old and have represented Brazil at least some level. Bobô has represented Brazil at U-20 level and Alex Silva at both U-20 and the full team. Bobô goal scoring record for Beşiktaş is good and he has scored 91 goals in 195 appearances for the Turkish team. Alex Silva has been regaining his form at São Paulo after not playing too many games in the Bundesliga – Silva has at times also expressed his desire to stay in Brazil. Most interestingly though is that Alex Silva is the younger brother of Benfica’s Luisão, which would make for an even more thrilling derby.
