According to the Record today, Ânderson Polga has been told that he can leave the club at the end of the season as he his no longer in the plans of the club as it tries to rebuild. The World Cup winning defender has been with Sporting since 2003.
It seems likely that he will be going back to Brazil then, in a similar path taken by the great Levezinho back in January. Perhaps to his first club, Grêmio. It would be understandable should he leave as become increasingly left out of games, due to the likes of Daniel Carriço, Marco Torsiglieri and Nuno André Coelho.
